Easy, healthy and on the table in about 20 minutes! Garlic shrimp recipe on sallysbakingaddiction.com

I wish I could tell you that lately I am cooking all these wonderful and wonderful meals because I am a food blogger by day and a food blogger by night. But my reality: we are preparing to move and my energy to cook wonderful and splendid meals = decrease. So maybe you're like me and you need a super fast and healthy dinner this week? A healthy refill, a quick and easy meal, impertinent and picky shrimp? Today I have everything for you.

The combination of honey and garlic is music for everyone's tastes, but do you know what's better? Tonight we have a 20 minute dinner. That's why I like to cook fish for dinner so often: it's fast. The prawns take 5 minutes to cook on the stove, while the marinade requires another 15. Ok ok, so the marinade together will take 12 more seconds, but whatever.

In the marinade we have 3 favorite dishes: honey, soy sauce and garlic. For a little extra flavor, I added some fresh chopped ginger, but it's optional. I only sweetly love honey + garlic + ginger.

I would say that the minimum marinating time is 15 minutes, but you can let the shrimp marinate all day when you are at work if it is easier / if you can on the stomach the appearance of raw prawns at 7 am. The marinade serves two purposes. Not only will the shrimps dip into it, but they will be added to the pan for a minute or 2 at the end. So you can serve as a sauce over the shrimp / vegetables / rice / whatever is on the side. (Like what we do with maple sesame salmon!) So not only is this dish healthy and fast with minimal ingredients, its convenience level is 10 +++.

What could be my favorite of all is this small part: wonderful bits of caramelized honey and garlic stick to the pan and the edges of the shrimp. Scrape everything because YUM. ↓

Description

This honey garlic shrimp is one of the most popular recipes on this website because it is not only delicious, it is a very fast and easy dinner recipe. Ready in 20 minutes, this healthy dinner will join your normal dinner rotation. Serve with brown rice and vegetables, grilled on skewers or served on salad

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (I use reduced sodium) [19659019] 1 tablespoon
minced garlic

  • optional: 1 teaspoon fresh chopped ginger

  • 1 lb medium peeled, peeled and prepared shrimp

  • 2 teaspoons s oil olive [19659020] optional:
  • chopped green onion for garnish

    Instructions

    1. Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic and ginger (if used) together in a bowl average.

    2. Place the shrimp in a large top with a zippered bag or tupperware. Pour 1/2 of the marinade mixture over, shake or stir, then let the prawns marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or 8-12 hours. Cover and refrigerate the rest of the marinade for step 3. (Suggestion to save time: while the shrimp are marinating, I steamed the broccoli and heated a quick brown rice.)

    3. Heat the oil d & # 39 olive in a skillet over medium-high heat. Put the shrimp in the pan. (Discard the used marinade). Cook the prawns on one side until pink, about 45 seconds, then turn the prawns over. Pour the remaining marinade and cook everything until the shrimp is cooked, about 1 minute more.

    4. Serve prawns with cooked marinade sauce and a side of green onion. The sauce is excellent on brown rice and steamed vegetables on the side.

    Notes

    1. Shrimp: You can remove the tail or leave it on. Whatever the easiest thing! I recommend using fresh shrimp, but you can use frozen. Defrost before marinating and cooking. If you use frozen shrimps, thaw, marinate and cook according to the instructions. You will really heat the shrimp in the sauce.

    2. Using the remaining marinade is a discussed topic. While it could be boiled to eliminate any contamination, the taste could change. But do what you want. I usually only do a little extra (like we do here) to use as a sauce
