1. To prepare the crockpot recipe: heat the oil or butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute for about a minute, until fragrant.

2. Add the cream and the chicken stock. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. The sauce should thicken enough to cover the back of a spoon.
